Help keep your emotional and physical health balanced during a move

It's about the feeling:

Correct placement of furniture, plants, lighting and accessories is a crucial component of professional staging. Making these a priority will help lift the positive energy in a house making the space feel comfortable and balanced to a prospective buyer.

Energy is related to how the house feels to that prospect and any negative energy could result in a property sitting on the market.

Remove Clutter in Your Home and Office:

Clutter obstructs the beneficial energy called chi in your environment, blocking the actualization of the good things you want to achieve. Take a good, hard look at your walls, furniture and accessories. Eliminate half or more of what's there; if you intend to keep it for your new house, be sure to store it of site.

Feng Shui practioners recommend being ruthless when it comes to disposing so that new things may enter your life.

Ensure a Good Night's Rest:

Use a critical eye to review the sleeping area of the house to see what might disturb your sleep. Eliminate as much electronic equipment as you can because it emanates waves that disturb chi. Close the bathroom door leading to your room, as well as the toilet seat and cover. Do not place water features or too many fresh flowers or plants in your bedroom.

Cover up mirrors that activate yang energy in what should be a yin environment conducive to rest. Avoid stimulating colors like red and gold, using instead, yin colors such as blues, greens and pastels.

Add Yang to Your Life:

Bring in green houseplants to activate the yang chi of joy and happiness

Introduce more light, music, water, air, plants, mirrors, bright colors and flowers into your life. Open the drapes, blinds and shutters all the way to literally let the light in..

Bring the Outdoors In:

Bring the natural world back into the house, or use artwork with images of nature as a reminder that there is a world out there. Add lots of indoor plants in the east, southeast and south areas of your home. Eliminate all dried flowers, especially in the bedroom, as they wreak havoc on your love life and have a negative chi.

Outside is Important too:

Keep the garden well maintained by weeding, deadheading, removing debris and pruning dead branches.

Add a bird bath or bird feeder to bring in the feeling of life and good energy, careful placement of flags and wind-chimes may also help the positive chi.

Bring Money to the Door:

Help positive wealth chi flow to your front door by keeping the area clear of extra items, use a black mat at the door with red flowers in black pots(position one foot away if possible).

Position the For Sale sign:

Place the For Sale sign in the travel and helpful people quadrant of the property. When facing the house this would be the right hand side. Travel and helpful people will assist to bring many people to the property.
